Willander Resort

It’s a very good place to stay - spotless clean, rooms have patio, upstairs balcony. You can jump in the pool right from the room’s patio. I liked their customer service - nice and friendly. Beautiful landscapes around the custom designed swimming pool and relaxing lighting at night. Good breakfast featuring Philippino, Korean and American cuisines. They also have 7/11 convenience store right next to the resort and free overnight motorcycle parking.

The swimming pool was good - easy access from the room. Also the locality is good if you rent a scooter (500php per day from the guy in front of the resort).

New property but things already damaged. It's cheap build. Doors hard to close, taps loose, etc.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. The facilities were great and 7/11 directly next door, which was convenient. Great value for money.

The room was a bit loud as you could hear the doorbell of the next rooms. Some of the finishes in the room weren't done that nicely but you get what you pay for. The glazed wall between bedroom and bathroom allows a lot of light in from the bathroom window.

The rooms were clean, and after we were moved, the facilities were much better. The maintenance staff responded promptly and fixed the broken room phone the next day, and the front desk staff who assisted with the room change were polite and helpful. As divers, we especially appreciated the very powerful hair dryer, which made drying our hair and equipment much easier after diving

Our initial room had several maintenance issues. The shower could not provide stable hot water, alternating between cold and warm water, which was a significant inconvenience during a multi-day stay. We also discovered that the room phone was not working, making it impossible to contact the front desk until it was repaired the following day. Shortly afterwards, the emergency light in the room also kept on…. More importantly, the communication regarding our reservation amendment was confusing. I requested a change of check-in date within minutes of making the reservation, and the property repeatedly confirmed in writing that the reservation dates had been amended. However, it was NEVER CLEARLY explained that I would still be charged for the original first night despite my specific questions about the total price. The amendment request on Booking.com remained pending until after I had already checked in and was only marked as rejected after I raised the issue at the front desk. Had this been clearly communicated from the beginning, I would simply have arrived on the original check-in date instead of losing one night’s accommodation.
