The apartment is overall somewhat dated, not surprising given the location it is at, right next to the Westmont train station of METRA in the heart of downtown Westmont. The fundamentals are right, though: Comfy beds, large TV, nice warm showers, everything working, and easy parking. Given its location, you do hear the trains, which does not bother me. Lighter sleepers should pack earplugs. I was traveling on my own and appreciated the many food choices (Uncle Bubs BBQ, in particular) as well as live music locations such as Johnny‘s Blitz. The Uptown is also a nice dive bar for a nightcap. What was great, was the speedy response of the property management and their friendly accomodation of some wishes concerning billing and late checkout.
The lighting for the dining table is poor. The owners said that they would attend to that with an extra lamp.
