Location was amazing....sprawling countryside and animals. Very quiet and nice place to walk around.
The What3Words and postcode did not lead to the correct location so wasn't easy to find, although we could have called the host, we did find it ourselves in the end.

The accommodation was simple, stylish, modern and very well equipped. The rural location was lovely and we enjoyed the view out over a field of goats and the countryside beyond. We stayed during a period of extremely hot weather, but the velux blackout blinds, door blinds and 2 large freestanding fans meant we were always comfortable.
Barcombe has a well stocked village shop open 7am - 7pm and a cosy pub just a short walk away; with a little planning we were also able to use the village bus service to and from Lewes, plus a taxi one evening.
I had originally planned to stay in Lewes but this was perfect. We both very much enjoyed our stay in the Sussex countryside.
We enjoyed everything.
It is a little hard to find with no signs.
The owner did in fact send very detailed directions, but because they were sent only just before check in I missed them. Poor Wi-Fi signal once we reached the village meant I wasn’t able to read them until after we had arrived at Doeling with the help of a neighbour.
But this didn’t detract from a wonderful stay.

The apartment was spacious, modern, really well equipped and spotlessly clean. It had its own private entrance so one could come and go without disturbing the owners in the next building. The views were gorgeous. It’s really close to the village of Barcombe Cross and the delightful Royal Oak pub which is welcoming and serves good food. Overall an excellent stay, would highly recommend.
Would not recommend to anyone with severe mobility issues, since you have to enter by private external staircase to the door. Inside however is all on one level.
