Loved my room, it was so clean and amazing

they have no parking lot so I had to stay in the parking garage that was around the block. It was 20 dollars for 24 hours so it wasn’t that bad

The people there are great. The room was spaceous and clean with all the needed utilities. There is also a jacuzzi on the roof which is also clean and with a nice view. Thw location is near bus stops direct to Old San Juan, the beach and the airport.

The only thing we needed was somewhere to place our wet clothes and towels because it was hard for them to dry but this is not such a big deal for us.

The Bottom Line: Metro Art Hotel sits in a fantastic, lively location, but it currently feels more like a place to crash than a place to stay. It has the bones to be a high 3-star or even a low 4-star boutique property, but it requires a significant investment in maintenance and hygiene to get there. ​The Room & Cleanliness ​This is where the hotel needs the most work. At first glance, the room looks "straightened up," but upon closer inspection, it’s clear that a deep cleaning hasn't happened in a long time. ​Hygiene Warning: If you are a germaphobe, you will likely struggle here. It feels like the staff does a surface-level tidy-up rather than a thorough sanitization. ​Maintenance: The rooms need "patch work"—minor repairs to walls and fixtures that have been neglected. ​Atmosphere & Noise ​If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, look elsewhere. ​Thin Walls: The walls are paper-thin; you can hear everything happening in the hallways and neighboring rooms. ​Location: The hotel is in a very vibrant area, which is great for explorers but tough for light sleepers. Between the street noise and the lack of soundproofing, relaxation is hard to find. ​Logistics & Suitability ​Parking: Practically non-existent. If you are renting a car, be prepared for a headache. ​Families: I would not recommend this hotel for families. The environment and noise levels aren't conducive to children or a peaceful family vacation. ​Solo/Business: Only ideal if you just need a bed in a central location and plan to spend 90% of your time out of the building. ​Final Thoughts ​I wanted to love this place because the potential is there, but the lack of cleanliness and the noise levels are major drawbacks. I would only stay here again if I absolutely had to. With a dedicated deep clean and some attention to soundproofing/repairs, this could be a gem—but it isn't there yet.
