A fantastic glamping experience!
I loved the cleanliness of the grounds and the shower/bathroom facilities. The proximity to the river was really nice to enjoy!
There was some trash left behind that I picked up, nothing to do with the owners, just probably others at the facilities who didn’t understand the concept of “pack it in, pack it out”. It would’ve been nice to consider adding a small flash light to the amenities to have in the tent, I had my own but just a suggestion. Otherwise, my stay was very enjoyable and I would go back!

A stressful, overpriced and misrepresented stay made significantly worse by an owner whose behavior
The surrounding nature and nearby river were the only real positives, but they were completely overshadowed by the experience with the property itself and the owner. Ultimately, the stay was nowhere near worth the price.
This was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve booked, especially for nearly $700 for two nights. The problems started before I even arrived. The property was extremely difficult to find, and Apple Maps/car navigation took me the wrong way. By the time I realized I couldn’t locate it, it was nighttime, I had no service, and I was driving around an unfamiliar forested area. I contacted the property and ultimately had to spend roughly $300 on another hotel just to have somewhere to sleep that night.
When I arrived the next day, the experience still did not match the listing or price. You have to load your belongings into a cart and haul everything down to the tent yourself. The tent looked far more elevated and cozy in the photos than it did in person, was extremely basic, and was incredibly hot and uncomfortable. Amenities shown as part of the experience were also unavailable (the sauna) and the bathrooms are unventilated and also extremely hot.
The worst part was the owner. I kindly asked whether he would consider refunding the first night since I had been unable to find the property and had to pay for another hotel. Instead of simply responding through text, he aggressively came up to me in person seemingly to size me up and tell me he would not refund me because it was not his fault I couldn't find it. He also essentially told me that if I couldn’t afford $700 to be in nature, that was my problem. The interaction was confrontational, unprofessional, & made me genuinely uncomfortable.
Afterward, I found other reviews describing similar experiences, including guests calling him a bully. His own responses to negative reviews are very telling. What was already a stressful, overpriced and disappointing stay was made significantly worse by the owner’s behavior. additionally, this property is far out from the actual Sequoia National Park and is quite a drive to get to any of the attractions. I absolutely would not stay here again.

Incredible escape to experience natural design and raw nature.
This is one of the most special properties I have seen in California. I will be back as soon as I can. So incredibly thoughtful and designed down to the smallest consideration.

Secluded Paradise with a few Quirks.
The South Fork Kaweah River inside the property is stunning, with plenty of photo-worthy spots to connect with nature.
Paradise Ranch Inn is tucked deep in the mountains—about a 45-minute drive from the highway on a winding road. No cell signal, so download the welcome pack for Wi-Fi access—it’s your only way to stay in touch. Check-in is fully self-service not good for inexperience campers and summer heat made the tent uncomfortably warm (80s°F); portable AC would make a big difference. More “convenient camping” than true luxury camping. Be sure to prepare your own safety measures—you’re in a remote area with limited resources.
