Amor Resort Koh Rong

From the very start when we booked our stay at Amor, we can’t find a serious fault. Communication leading up to our arrival was exceptional. They arranged our travel from Phnom Pehn to Amor Resort including taxi speedboat crossing & tuk tuk at a reasonable price. Our arrival at the resort was extremely welcoming from the manager Toby, who I have to say is professional in his job, & nothing is too much trouble for him. Like arranging a private boat for our anniversary, sourcing fresh seafood especially for our anniversary meal. Plus the flower & towel presentation on our bed was a lovely touch. We also did the half day tuk tuk tour around island visiting various places that was also planned by Toby. Even the simple things was attended to precisely & immediately. You can tell he’s worked in hospitality & gained lots of valuable experience & knowledge in his career. All his staff including waiters, waitresses, drivers, housekeeping receptionists & maintenance are very welcoming too. They are professional & always happy to serve throughout the resort. Special mention to Nin on reception, Kong the waiter & his wife the chef in particular, as the food was delicious. We went through the menu & tried nearly everything & it was amazing food. Plenty of choice at breakfast, rooms very clean, decent WiFi & much needed air conditioning. Nice clean pool & the surroundings are beautiful & relaxing. If you did want to venture out, a tuk tuk & driver is always available at a small cost. My wife enjoyed the massages so much, she had one nearly every day. The final part of the road to the resort isn’t complete yet, but it adds to the experience off roading in a tuk tuk. Definitely don’t let this put you off staying at Amor. So to top it off, so many other staff I would like to mention, but unfortunately didn’t get their names. Keep up the good work. We’d definitely recommend & will return to Amor one day.

Great location right on the beach. Staff are very friendly , especially the twins...tomato and salmon. Great cocktails and good food. Perfect location.

The staff at Amor were exceptional! Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making our experience even more special. Their genuine hospitality and friendly service really stood out. Beautiful, secluded property with crystal-clear water, a lovely pool, and charming separate bungalows. A peaceful little slice of paradise!

The beach could benefit from better maintenance, as it wasn’t always easy to access the water. Some visible areas, including the beach bar area, were also being used for storage and could be tidied up. We noticed beach maintenance was underway as we checked out, which was great to see. This didn’t take away from our overall experience, but improving these areas would make the property even more enjoyable.

The bungalow we stayed in was very well kitted out and a very short walk down the hill to the pool, bar and beach.

Without wanting to sound super critical there were a couple of things that let down the overall experience. We didn’t have anything approaching hot water for the 3 days we were there - warm was about the best we ever received. There were a couple of other things such as having to go down to reception as we didn’t have any towels one day, and our friends we went with had a safe that didn’t work, and we’re also castigated for them also addressing the fact that there was no hot water.
