The Beach Cave is an apartment, downstairs at our home, The Beach Barn.
It is located near the Choctawhatchee Bay. It is very conveniently located to
30-A, the beaches, the bay, restaurants and the shopping, the area has to offer. You can have your toes in the sand within 10 minutes!
It’s a straight shot into Grayton Beach, The Red Bar, or into Watersound, or Seaside!
It’s a quiet lower end rental for this area, cozy, convenient, and quiet!
It’s a studio apartment type set up w extra rooms being the kitchen and bathroom. There is a cupboard and closet and that’s the place!
Please note there is only movies on the tv, no cable, or Wi-Fi….
This space is primitive in some ways(no Wi-Fi or cable, no dishwasher) but it is a great unplug and relax type beach getaway, on a very quiet street.
Great place to ride a bike, take a walk, etc.
The interior has only one window on the door so it’s quiet and cozy.
It was once a recording studio( hence no windows) therefore it has a creative feel there. As in, it’s a great place to relax and write or get some independent work done!
Please note there is occasionally noise from other guests upstairs, there is smells from food cooking, there are other dogs that live in nearby yards, so it is similar to an apartment or duplex type scenario but very peaceful!
The area is quiet so no partying but you can party on the town and crash here for sure!!!

This space is attached to the house, like an apartment, but it is totally independent from the other parts of the house. All common doors will be locked from both sides and there is no other access to the house or vice versa…There is no contact w other guests or shared spaces for this rental.
Other things to note:
Please note that we allow pets on a limited basis. They have a space to stay, outside on the deck, in a pen w doghouse… We do not allow pets inside the house! Please note this important distinction!
Also there is no cable or dish tv networks. We only have dvd movies on the tv in this unit.
The AC unit is set at 70-72 degrees but there is a portable AC in the unit to adjust to your liking. There also floor heaters if needed!

This property is cute & quaint. You can totally loose yourself in the peacefulness the Beach Cave has to offer. It rained practically the entire time we were there, but that just created an ambience suitable to the rest we were looking for.

The room was perfect for us. We were vacationing in the area with family. The rest of the family had rented a large condo. We spent most of our time with them. The room was fine. The bed was comfortable. It was very clean. Its quirky factors were charming—one window (door), no connectivity—WiFi or cell— required some planning. But we slept great & enjoyed our stay at the Beach Cave!
