Ankawa Holiday Hotel turned out to be a great choice for our trip to Erbil. The Ankawa neighborhood itself is a big plus, peaceful and welcoming, with plenty of good restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance, so getting around without a car wasn’t a problem at all.
Check-in was smooth and the front desk team went out of their way to help with directions and suggestions for the area. Our room was spacious and quiet, with everything working as it should and daily housekeeping keeping things spotless. We especially appreciated the outdoor seating area in the evenings a genuinely nice spot to relax after a day out in Erbil, and not something every hotel in Ankawa can offer.
Breakfast had a solid variety and set us up well for the day. For anyone comparing hotels in Ankawa or Erbil more broadly, this one stood out for the combination of a quiet residential setting with quick access to the busier parts of the city.
Would happily book Ankawa Holiday Hotel again on a future visit to Erbil.

A wonderful stay in the heart of Ankawa
We had an excellent stay at Ankawa Holiday Hotel during our time in Erbil. The location in Ankawa is ideal, quiet, safe, and close to restaurants, cafés, and shops, making it easy to explore this vibrant part of Erbil on foot.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with attentive housekeeping throughout our stay. A real highlight was the outside sitting area, a relaxing space to unwind with a coffee or catch up on work in the fresh air, and a lovely touch that many hotels in Ankawa don't offer.
The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help, whether with local recommendations or general assistance. Breakfast was fresh and satisfying, and the overall value for a hotel in Erbil was excellent.
I highly recommend Ankawa Holiday Hotel to anyone visiting Erbil or Ankawa for business or leisure, and we'll definitely stay again on our next trip to the region.

I really loved the location; it's not in the busy city center but it's very close. All the services provided were excellent, and the staff was very helpful and friendly..
The room was clean, the bedding was neat and tidy, and the breakfast was delicious.
