We had an amazing stay at Château du Montellier! The host was incredibly welcoming and gave us a fascinating tour of the historic property. Our room was huge, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. We cannot wait to return!

Fantastic stay for a couple days. Rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The establishment is breathtaking with awesome history. A true highlight to our trip to France. Plenty to explore within the area during the day.

Location unica e particolare. Antico castello del XIV Secolo, che non nasconde la sua età, nonostante qualche ristrutturazione. Bagno nuovo e moderno, mentre la stanza resta un tuffo nel passato.
La moglie del proprietario ci ha mostrato le parti più salienti e non private del castello spiegandone la storia con grande trasporto.
Il letto grande era abbastanza comodo.
Due splendidi asinelli molto socievoli nel campo prospiciente.
La porta della stanza, che dava sulla grande tenuta, non si riusciva a chiudere. A fatica siamo riusciti a chiudere il piccolo cancelletto esterno ed una specie di porta a soffietto di ferro mezza rotta. La portafinestra difettosa si apriva da sola nonostante il tentativo, vano, di chiudere dei paletti in ferro che non combaciavano.
Totalmente da rivedere il concetto di colazione, pronta nella stanza già al nostro arrivo il pomeriggio precedente. Composta di qualche fetta di pane, qualche boccone di ciambellone secco, 2 madeleine poste sotto una cupola di vetro, abbastanza secche, 2 mini vasetti di una marmellata di provenienza poco chiara, 2 yogurt non sigillati, un vasetto di vetro con poche mandorle sul fondo, mini confezioni di burro e formaggio, una macchina per fare il caffè e 4 piccole confezioni di creamer monodose che secondo la castellana erano il latte, 4 mini confezioni di Nutella e 2 pesche.
Le 2 tazze piuttosto consunte.
Nel complesso, visto il contesto, ci si aspettava di meglio.

L’endroit est magnifique, une parenthèse hors du temps et du tumulte. Chargé d’histoire et en pleine nature. Les hôtes sont accueillants et passionnés par l’endroit.
