The resort has a very friendly and calm atmosphere, and the staff contributed a lot to that experience. They were courteous and pleasant to interact with. I felt welcomed from the beginning of my stay.

The location is absolutely world-class. The old rooms have huge balconies overlooking the forest. The climate is beautiful, the peaceful natural setting is wonderful, and the views over the valley are spectacular. The management were really understanding and helpful. When we complained about the loud music late at night they took action. In our room (an old one) none of the power sockets were useable, but they helpfully brought us an extension cable.
This was our 7th stay. We love the place. BUT: This time was "High Season" for visitors, even mid-week and very busy. Large groups, office outings, large families, school reunions. Many use the setting as a background for selfies. They get drunk, scream and play loud music after midnight.
The restaurant at Romhaey is not nearly as good as at Romdoul.
The owner could do more to emphasise the unique peacefulness and beauty of the position, the forest, the birds and animals and the natural surroundings. Not build badminton sheds, swimming pools and concrete box rooms. They are ugly, out-of-place and under-used. The extraordinary pine forest is full of plastic litter from picnics.
