The fact it's located inside the Berat castle itself makes it super special.It is also in walkable distance from Old town.
We walked down to the old town and reached in about 20 minutes with 5 and 8 year olds.We walked back up as well and enjoyed it but it is steep if you have mobility issues.Ask owner for the way if you are confused.There is a bus as well but we did not use this time.
Hospitality of the owner right from the beginning made us settle right in.We were super relaxed once we met him knowing we were in good hands.He went above and beyond!
He had offered to drive down for grocery shopping.He even gave us a lift to the bus stop when we were returning.There are many things but not to make a review too long I would say in short he went above and beyond.
Accommodation is very clean.If we have time we usually strip linens at the end of our stay to help out so I can tell the beddings were super clean !
Despite being part of Castle and having traditional features it has everything you need.What I loved the most was fruit trees around and sometimes we could get glimpses of chickens around the garden which we very much enjoyed.There are 2 fridges outside from where you can help yourself and pay later.ALSO there is coffee machine which we did not notice untill the end moment.We regret it very much as we would have loved to have it in the beautiful set up with beautiful view.So future visitor please enjoy it:).

Beautiful location within the castle walls. Very nice view from the terrace, fully equipped kitchen, extremely clean and very friendly and helpful staff.

Una estancia inolvidable en el corazón de Berat
Hay alojamientos que disfrutas y otros que recuerdas con especial cariño. Villa Droboniku pertenece, sin duda, a los segundos.
Su ubicación, dentro del impresionante castillo de Berat, es maravillosa. Pero lo que realmente convierte este lugar en algo especial son Claudio e Irena, dos anfitriones extraordinarios que nos hicieron sentir como en casa desde el primer momento.
Su cercanía, su amabilidad y su disposición para ayudarnos en todo fueron excepcionales. Incluso cuando tuvimos un pequeño problema con la batería del coche, Claudio no dudó ni un instante en ayudarnos a solucionarlo.
Nos llevamos mucho más que una estancia estupenda: nos llevamos el recuerdo de dos personas maravillosas y de una hospitalidad auténtica, de esas que hacen que un viaje sea verdaderamente especial.
Gracias de corazón, Claudio e Irena. Si algún día regresamos a Berat, sabemos perfectamente dónde queremos alojarnos.

It was a lovely presented and quaint place to stay. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was clean and well presented. Awesome to stay in Berat Castle!!
