The house has numerous areas: living room , den , screened deck, and an upper private loft. Our group included children , young adults, Middle Ages adults and grandparents. The size of the house was excellent. We could walk to the beach easily within 8-10 minutes (which is almost a must due to parking ). The older full grown trees make it feel woodsy. The house is spacious. We had so much room and never felt crowded. There were 10 people in our group. The couches and beds are all very comfortable. The island in the kitchen is great . The front porch is so nice to sit on and relax.
Unfortunately there are minor upkeep issues. I don’t know how frequently the property manager actually comes to the house to check things over . There was (and still is) burnt wood and a huge pile of ash debris in the fireplace (we stayed here in July), the BBQ grill had not been cleaned in a long long time, there are only 2 steak knives in the kitchen and no other cutting/cooking knives, only 1 bath towel per person , 2 of the wooden dining room chairs were broken, the upstairs king bedroom and loft are very hot. The A/C barely blows up there . We did utilize the fans that were provided but it still was hard to sleep. (Temps were below 80 during the day while we were here). I had asked ahead of time if there were beach chairs, they had said there were - there are not . There are 4 very small folding camping chairs and 3 of them are broken and unusable. There is a fire pit in the back yard and we would have loved to have used it however, there aren’t any outside chairs . Almost every property around here has Adirondack chairs or some kind of outdoor chair .
The fridge is small and doesn’t produce ice.
The coffee maker is broken. The blender is broken.
These things may not matter to some , but to us these kinds of small details do matter and makes one’s stay nicer.
All of that said- we plan on returning next year and will bring some of these items with us. For the cost- this house is a steal and we did genuinely enjoy our stay here .
