Mermaids' Dream Sorrento

We loved our stay at Mermaids Dream! Location was perfect for exploring Sorrento and the area - Amalfi, Pompeii, Herculaneum. The apartment itself was great - incredibly clean, comfortable and amazing view of Naples Bay and Vesuvius from the balcony. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect, including carefully delivering our passports to the Naples port after we left them in the apartment after our stay. A huge thank you to Ernesto and Vittorio for being incredible hosts!

The room is very spacious , the bathroom huge, we had a balcony with an amazing view , we had the best time , Victorio was very kind, sent as a list of recommendations which make our activities quite easy , he was available 24h on WhatsApp , the rooms were very clean. Towels smooth, and its a walking distance to most of the places

The cleaning arrangements , we had to book a specific time for cleaning which could not be latter than 10 am,

Absolutely stunning views from the balcony. The apartment itself was very modern, clean and stylish. Perfect for sharing with a friend/couples. The location was great too, just a few mins walk from the main bit, meaning it was peaceful and quiet.

The hotel was relatively well located. I really enjoyed the direct view of Mount Vesuvius from our beautiful balcony. The staff responded quite quickly, which was very nice. I also appreciated their thoughtful gesture at the end with the little gift: a mini bottle of limoncello in a pouch.

Between the photos and the reality, I was very disappointed. I was expecting something luxurious, with a bit of a 70s charm, but it wasn’t the case at all. The price felt excessive for such a simple room. For the same amount, I had stayed in an incredible hotel on the main avenue in Sorrento. Here, the room was just basic, with nothing more than a wallpapered wall. We arrived around 4:30 pm and were welcomed by a woman barefoot, wearing pajama shorts, who seemed surprised to see us. The heat was unbearable, so we had to sleep with the air conditioning on. There was no full-length mirror, which made it difficult to check outfits. The room was part of a residence: every evening, we could hear everything going on in the building. On Monday night, a party just below our balcony lasted until 1 am, making it impossible to sleep. On top of that, being right next to the check-in desk meant we heard every noise. And on the night before our departure, a dozen alarms went off between 5 and 6 am — enough to wake us up completely, but apparently not the person who set them. We really slept very badly; the stay was not restful at all. 700 euros for three nights in such a room, with nothing more than a wallpapered wall, is truly overpriced.
