Disliked · The greeting from the host when we arrived wasn’t the best. One of the reasons we booked this property was because it had an EV charger outside, so I plugged my car in to charge around 100 miles. However, the owner came over and seemed unhappy that it was being used, and asked for an additional £10 charge. While £10 may not sound like much, charging that amount at home would only cost around £1.80.
I explained that at other properties we’ve stayed at, using the EV charger has never been an issue and we’ve never been charged extra, so this wasn’t a great first impression. It would be helpful to either put a sign next to the charger advising guests to contact the owner before use, or communicate this more clearly in the booking summary emails and property information.
