It was cosy and comfortable and nicely appointed.
The living space was very small for 4 people and we hadn't realised from the photos quite how tiny the kitchen was - it had everything we needed (although an oven glove would have been useful!) but there was very little space for preparing meals. The dining table was a folding one and we had to shuffle furniture around when we wanted to use it as there was no space to unfold it otherwise - plus there were only 3 dining chairs so one of us had to sit on the sofa to eat.
The cottage description mentioned the wonderful views, but neglected to mention that there was no view from the cottage itself: the front of the cottage looks out onto the drive and the back onto a small yard. The view is only visible from the parking area and the "communal garden", which is actually just a patch of grass next to the parking area (not fenced off from the cars so wouldn't be suitable for small children or dogs to play).
