The staff was amazing. The reception staff provided us with dishes and cutlery for food we brought in for dinner. Parking was easy and the location ideal for visiting the region and for nearby hiking. The restaurant across the street in town was excellent. It felt remote, we woke up to sounds of goats and cows, while still being accessible.
There was no air conditioning despite it being advertised as such. The room we had did not have screens on the door or windows so we could not leave them open at night as mosquitoes came in.

É um lindo castelo do século XVI, reformado com muito bom gosto e muito confortável. Toda a equipe é gentil e prestativa. O café da manhã é ótimo. Estacionamos dentro do hotel, que também tem elevador. O quarto é grande, bonito e muito confortável.

The owner of the accommodation was very friendly. The building is beautifully renovated.
Breakfast was limited. my husband wasn't offered a glass of orange juice which was not freshly squeezed anyway and there was no choice in milk for the granola, only yoghurt. He couldn't find a spoon so he used his coffee spoon. We booked a room with balcony and garden view but were placed in a small room to the side of the building without balcony and a handicap bathroom which wassn't mentioned when checking in and paying. When we complained nothing was done, only the next day the owner wanted to help. What if we hadn't complained? We left even though we had paid for another 5 days. There is NO restaurant, therefore no room service, the breakfast is limited, no fresh orange juice, no mini-bar, no wellness center, spa or pool. So why is this a four star hotel?
