The cleanliness and the fact that all you needed to take was clothes and towels, everything that you needed was there. The welcome pack that was left for customers was a wonderful thought. The booking was easy and getting into the property was simple and the instructions easy to follow. The property was so quiet and the surroundings so quiet.

Very lovely, stylish lodge all mod cons and comfortable beds. The place was very clean, and inviting the welcome basket was a wonderful touch!

Unfortunately, there was too many flies! It's the height of summer so windows and doors have to be open there's no choice about that! Being situated in very close proximity to livestock fields the sheer amount of flesh flies and horse flies was unbearable we left a day early as the bites on us and children were making us feel ill. It's next to a lake which can't be seen or easily gotten to as it's closed, and that also bought in the biting flies and gnats. Fly screens would be favourable, fly zappers that work in each room also....the tiny one in kitchen did not work. Being remote is a nice change, however if bringing children they will need some internet to get through the day when not going out anywhere. And the WiFi was the worst, hardly there at all, intermittent when it did come on, you couldn't have more than one device using it at a time. There's nothing on site for children to do, so the WiFi was important to us for the evenings. The bin situation was ridiculous! Heavy bin bags had to be carried across the park to the only bin area, not enough bins! Driving the bin bags in the car would have been easier, however not ideal in the heat with dirty nappies and food in a clean car! We were disappointed, not with the lodge but the other bits that should make a memorable family holiday easy going and pleasant. We saved a lot of money to go on a special holiday, with my mom surviving 2 strokes and a brain surgery I wanted to make it special. We felt for £1300 we could have and should have gone abroad all inclusive and still had some change left over from it. There were no staff on site, not particularly expected but not even one person to check or maintain security or any issues or even keep the grounds maintained and free of dead rats (that we saw by the bins).
