We had a wonderful time exploring the island and in ore of the historic buildings

Nice place with a provider I do not want to have deal again

The accomodation is very nice, comfortable bed, and the air condition was great (what was not true during our outher stays in Sicily). Nice kitchen, nice fridge and bathroom, perfect for a 6 night stay for a family.

We travelled with two kids, and the host did not gave us towels for 4 person, they did not gave us sheets and blankets for the couch bed, becuase they were living with the assumption that two kids will sleep wiht us .D They have dishwasher, but in total they gave us 1 pod. And for 6 days they left us 1.5 roll of toiler paper. When we arrived they stated that I have to pay for an additional 25 eur tax, however the booking precisely stated that our stay (818 eur) covers all costs and taxes. In other cities like Catania, Palremo, Taormina I payed tax in cash at the accomodation but during the online payment that amonut was reducted from the full amount. When I explained it to the women she was yelling like she does not care about booking, and showed screenshot from their own system Wonderful Italy. I told that I do not care about these, I reserved throguh booking, and there I have confirmation that I payed for the full stay. After an hour threating us with police the women left and never showed up again.

Literally, a nonexistent host

Well decorated apartment in a very good location.

Bed with no sheets during 2 nights, unpleasant smell coming from kitchen, no functioning WIFI and literally a nonexistent host (Wonderful Italy). We booked an apartment for 3 people for 2 nights, however, one of the beds had not been made and had no sheets. The person that let us in, immediately got us to pay for the tourist tax and (surprise!) an extra 20E for arriving at 9.30PM, however, he informed us that there was nothing he could do regarding the missing sheets. The day after, despite having messaged “Wonderful Italy” various times, I only received repeated requests regarding my departure time for the following day. Eventually, after managing to speak on the phone with someone from "Wonderful Italy” that said that, unfortunately, they could only send WhatsApp messages but not read any of mine (???) I was informed that they would make sure that the missing sheets would be provided for the second night. Nothing, however, happened. I eventually asked “Wonderful Italy" to consider some kind of refund. After stating that I had no right to one “Wonderful Italy" eventually backtracked and offered an unspecified discount voucher. As if I would ever consider setting foot in an apartment managed by “Wonderful Italy” again!!! When we finally left, the person that came to collect the keys expressed her surprise at what had happened and stated that we effectively had rented a room for 2 people rather than 3 and that she would inform her manager regarding the necessity of providing us with an appropriate refund. As expected, once again, nothing happened. My unfortunate experience makes me think that "Wonderful Italy" is some kind of centralised agency that does not have the capabilities of providing any support to its guests. Its only concern seems to be that you pay, you get the keys and that you leave.

Nice apartment, great location, cumbersome lighting arrangements.

Location is great, near the ocean and easy walking to historical sites. It is a longer walk or bus/taxi trip from the station (bus or train) but well worth it. There are two popular cafes very close nearby but we only visited one of them which was very good.

The biggest problem relates to turning on and off the electiricity in the apartment which requires a key that is attached to the front door key and cannot be removed. This means that if you enter the apartment in the night you open the door and then have to insert the light key in the dark. Of course you use your mobile phone for light but it is cumbersome. Perhaps it saves the owner a little electicity?? The A/C is great but there are no windows in the apartment, only floor to ceiling glass doors. In the night we had no fresh air unless we left a door open. The agency that manages the accommodation is very insistent on us arriving at the time we nominate, but this is not always possible with transport. Rubbish removal is required, but the rules and arrangements are vague, to say the least.
