Lovely apartment, very clean and well equipped. Lovely welcome basket. Close to various restaurants. Great communication from the hosts. TIP: It is difficult to book a taxi to the train station before 9 they are all tied up transporting school children. We eventually found an independent taxi driver who took us to the station at 7.30 (although our trains were just after 9). The walk to the train station is up hill in places. (depends on how much luggage you have and how fit you are). Walking tour of Berwick from Tourist Information office 11am.
Found the music and banging from the Turkish restaurant irritating at times. Otherwise would mark apartment 10/10.

Loved our welcome hamper, thank you! We had so much space as a family of four. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, too. We liked the sounds from the street and restaurant downstairs. You can hear the music and chatter when you're in the lounge which we didn't mind at all, and once you're upstairs you can't hear it. We loved being in the centre of Berwick and able to walk around and explore. A really friendly place and felt very safe and relaxed. We'd love to return one day!
We walked the walls, walked out to the lighthouse, jumped on a train to Edinburgh (Camera Obscura and the Museum of Scotland - highly recommend), visited yarn shops and bookshops, Lindisfarne island, boat trip out into the sea, and we hired a court at the leisure centre to play basketball. Ate at Mavi (best moussaka ever had), Marshall's Cafe (next to Go Outdoors, amazing food), and popped into the micro pub nearby.
If you need a firmer mattress, you might struggle, but we slept really well. Remember to shut the windows as those seagulls don't stop making noise throughout the night! If staying in and watching the tv is your thing you might need to turn it up over the sounds from downstairs, but as I say, we didn't mind that at all!
