From the moment I arrived, the Secret Garden felt like exactly that, a beautiful, peaceful sanctuary tucked away in the heart of Siem Reap. The staff were exceptionally kind, warm and genuinely caring, making me feel completely at home from day one. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, the food was fresh and delicious, and the pool was a lovely retreat from the Cambodian heat. What truly sets this property apart though is the heart behind it, staying here felt meaningful, not just comfortable.
Nothing! It was truly a beautiful life changing experience.

It’s an exceptionally nice hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms in a calm neighborhood. The pool area is very relaxing and I was very positively surprised by the food. There are also some great vegetarian/ vegan options.
The amazing hosts Rhonda and Patrick founded this hotel to train Cambodians in the hospitality sector. The staff seem to love their work and are so welcoming, friendly and engaging. Several guests staying at the hotel also work for an NGO that seeks to teach English in Cambodia. This all contributes to the amazing vibe at the hotel.
I liked everything but maybe you want to consider the following: The bed is quite hard (not a problem for me). It is a short walk to get to the city center, restaurants, attractions. Dinner is served only three days per week.

Breakfast and dinner were very good with lots of choices and fresh fruit. Location was great.
The hotel is involved with the Youth's Dream Fulfilment Association, which is a marvellous program for disadvantaged rural young Cambodians who want to get into the hospitality (hotel/catering) sector. Patrick, Rhonda and their staff were a delight.
It would be nice to have had shelves in the bedroom, but that's a minor issue. We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and had to ask for the sheets to be changed. Also, toiletries need to be checked and replaced without having to ask for then.
