We loved our stay at Tru! It was the perfect location in between all the action in Wilmington. And my daughter LOVED the pool time!

This was a friend's trip so we were more than 5 families in the same hotel but a family has a dogs so they take then out of hotel and leave the dogs for 5 minutes when guy was waiting for the owners of dogs we explained to him but starts the show his was saying that he called the police and don't let go us into the hotel untill police arrived we were discussing this almost one hour

Check in was swift and the lobby looked very nice. Everything in this hotel is bright and has color which I like instead of that boring minimalist look. The room was very clean and modern.
Totally loved the pool. I loved the cabanas and the fountains in the pool. It was just a nice vibe and when the pool lights come on, it looks even nicer.
The hotel being connected to Hotel Lela could make you have to park further in the lot, but it wasn’t that much of an inconvenience. There were a lot of guests this weekend, so our floor was a little noisy. A few guests had dogs so anytime the elevator opened this one dog would bark. So prose that they are pet-friendly. Con is if you’re not used to dogs barking at night or if you have a little one trying to sleep.
This was also not far from the beach. Wrightsville Beach is closest, but I visited Carolina Beach and that drive wasn’t bad at all. It was also a short drive to downtown Wilmington, which made it convenient.
Overall, I would definitely return and I would probably want to try Hotel Lela just to see what those rooms are like.

Good location, close to the downtown area and not terribly far to the beaches. Bed was perfect! Good breakfast, enjoyed our stay.
