Place was beautiful, great walkway on sound, many breakfast choices

The room was clean, but the Roku was difficult to navigate, and the bathroom, while handicap accessible, has no shelving for toiletries. No place to put razor, shampoo, body wash, etc. The walls were bare of decor and everything was in shades of gray. As it rained almost the entire time we were there, it was depressing. Why not paint the rooms in lighter blues, warmer peach tones, soft yellow? Absolutely have blackout curtains for sleeping, but when people are up, and stuck indoors, they like a little cheer. As for the staff, when we visited in the early 2000s, the reception desk was helpful and gave good recommendations. This time, my husband was met with blank stares... It was actually housekeeping who went out of their way to help us with little things like towels and pillows. They were very sweet and approachable when I saw them on their cleaning rounds. We would probably stay there again, but would book earlier for a room with a view of the water.
