No air con in the hotel rooms so a little uncomfortable if hot day. However everything else was superb! Breakfast was lovely and staff couldn’t do anymore for you.

Lovely old hotel, opposite the railway station. Plenty of parking available if needed. A short walk to the shops. The staff were all friendly. The hotel was very well presented, making the most of the old features, whilst keeping a modern feel. The bed was comfortable, but had to untick the duvet from the bottom of the bed, to pull it up around my shoulders, as the top of it finished too low down the bed . Nice touch with tea/coffee in the room. Was a bit awkward to plug my hairdryer/straighteners in as I had to crawl under the desk for the socket. Hand wash, body wash, body lotion available in the bathroom. We didn’t hear any noise from other rooms. Breakfast was delicious. My husband had a freshly cooked English breakfast which had a choice or white or brown bread and I had a yoghurt and granola bowl, with berries and peach slices, honey , garnished with a small pansy flower and petals. Beautifully presented, an ample amount and extremely tasty!
