We really liked this place, with a few caveats:
We were in Apt 2. Cute, vintage. Bed comfortable. Shower hot and strong (though only handheld). Everything is very clean. Balcony is small but wraps around the small apartment and has two different sides to it, each with small table and chairs. It is in an excellent, central location. Close walk (even with luggage) to multiple Metro lines, especially Monastriaki. Close walk to restaurants, Athens attractions like Ancient Agora, the Acropolis and the Aereopagus Hill, the Roman Forum. We walked everywhere except for the day we walked to a car rental place for a day trip outside Athens -- to Ancient Corinth and Cenchrae. Cleaning on alternating days, w towel changes.
Caveats: *Noise: VERY close to the Little Kook pseudo-Alice in Wonderland themed restaurant, which is loud at times but at least closes at midnight. *Other street noises like flour sack delivery for the bakery across the street take place at night too...not a big problem for me, but my spouse is a very light sleeper. He still liked being there but slept poorly most nights. *Small repairs to door handles (we did ourselves) or squeaky hinges (hosts showed up very quickly) etc, may be needed. Internet stopped at one long point but they kept working on it until it got fully restored. Hosts and cleaner very responsive. *Kitchen only has hotplate as stove. Water kettle, fridge, cups, glasses. We fixed our own breakfast or sandwiches fine, but ate real meals out.

Overall the stay was a great experience. Definitely cute vintage vibe. The only suggestion is for someone from the reception to walk guests to the hotel when not staying in the main hotel.

The place we were staying at had construction across from us that started between 4-6 am. However the location had numerous locations to dine and shop. Entering our place we discovered that the clip that holds up the shower head was gone. I mentioned this to the staff through whatsapp but never received a reply back to repair it. In order to shower I had to use a shower curtain clip to hold the shower head in place on a bar over the tub to shower. I also noticed next to the toilet a hole in the floor filled with water that I assume was a water pipe. We covered that with the toilet bowl cleaner base and hoped the water wouldn't overflow into the bathroom during our stay. This place claims to sleep four but one of my sons slept on the springs of the sofa with no padding. I have mixed feelings about the staff because of not only not replying to the shower issue but they seemed hell bent on bugging me for a room tax of around 12 euros that they contacted me numerous times for. They actually wanted a time where I would be there so that I can pay them. The positive thing about the staff is they were able to find a car service for us at 6 am to take us to the airport which was important since there was a taxi cab strike. The place is old, and staying at an old place can be charming. However there is a difference between old and rundown. This place was more rundown than charming.
