We had an excellent stay at Al Portico in Venice. The location is perfect, close to the train station and within walking distance of Venice’s main attractions, while still being in a quiet and charming area. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring.
A special thank you to Nicola, whose outstanding hospitality made our stay truly memorable. From check-in to departure, he was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, always ready with recommendations and assistance. His professionalism and genuine care for guests made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

The space was very clean and comfortable. The room has a fridege, ketyle and coffee maker. Bathroom is a little on the small side. Only thjng kissjng was an iron. About a 1 minute walk from water transportation and close to lists of restaurant and shops.
I didnt have much jntercation to hotel staff except on checking in and out.

My room at Portico was spacious, clean and had plenty of storage. My room was lovely to come back to. I wouldn’t say the amenities were stellar but sufficed. It was very quiet. I heard no street noise at all.
Nicola, the manger was a saving grace during my stay. He went above & beyond to make my stay special. He is worth his weight in gold and should be treated like a king by whomever the owner is. He was articulate, made calls for me, helped me with directions, and overall made my stay what it was! It’s a fabulous location, very close to a Water Bus station and 50 yds to the main walking street. I would recommend this place

The location was good for access from the train station. The best thing was the helpfulness of the manager who gave us a map pointing out particular things of interest in Venice for us and taking so much time over this. Also useful was baggage storage after we checked out so we could spend the morning sightseeing before we left.
