The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was.

The hotel was well located in the middle of town. There was no air conditioning, but the temperatures cooled off at night and a fan was provided. But the staff was the most wonderful part of our stay. They were pleasant, helpful, and just overall wonderful!

Nice room with all usual amenities you expect at an hotel, staff helpful and made you feel welcome, good selection at breakfast. Small carpark, full when we arrived but long stay nearby means additional charge. Free if you have blue badge. Cirencester well worth a visit.
