Thanks to all of the staff at the Barong. They all were amazingly helpful, friendly and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend the Barong for your stay in Ubud. It really is near city center and in the thick of the action. The restaurant is awesome and well. Thanks to all of the staff for a wonderful experience.

The staff were excellent always smiling and helpful. The rooms are large and well equipped but the TV's don't work, no signal and management doesn't care. The pool was under construction (which we weren't advised of until arrival). Breakfast was good as is the location with shops, restaurants etc just outside.

Our villa was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay, however unfortunately there were a couple of things that made it not quite perfect. We loved our private plunge pool and outside area, the room was incredible & very comfy and the fresh fruit each day was much appreciated. However we raised with the staff early in our stay that the toilet wasn't flushing properly, and often the cistern wouldn't fill, and perhaps due to a communication issue they told us this was normal and wouldn't be fixed. We tried to explain that it would sometimes take hours for us to be able to use it again but I think there was a language barrier & the staff told us it would not be fixed. we don't hold this against the hotel or staff, it just made things a bit inconvenient.
The breakfast was incredible & very delicious, as were the meals and cocktails. On one day we asked for a breakfast box as we had an early pickup, but when we went to collect the boxes at the time we requested they weren't made up & the staff told us we would have to wait 15 mins which we couldn't do as our driver had arrived. we therefore had to leave without any breakfast for our day tour. The staff did apologise for the mix up and gave us complementary coffee the next day which we appreciated.
The hotel is good easy walking distance to the Monkey Forest, bars, markets and palace, the air conditioning in the room is excellent, and we appreciated that our villa was quiet when we needed a nap!

Beautiful property in the middle of money forest rd. Busy street, though rooms are far enough back.
Easy walk to monkey forest and royal palace.
