Holiday Inn & Suites Bakersfield by IHG

Everything was great until I was told we had to wait for check in because the person had just gone on break. Why not have. Back up? After a long trip you don't want to wait.

Enjoy my stay. The staff were helpful, friendly. The rooms were everything I expected.

The service was awesome!! I had accidentally reserved the day after we were coming and we were on our way! They had no problem changing our reservation! We only stayed one night because it was our halfway stop between our home and Las Vegas! It was very clean and we had a really nice breakfast in the morning!! We would stop here again, if we need a rest!

Overall, my experience staying here was great! The room was large, the beds were clean and comfortable, the bathroom spotless. There was plenty of pump soap, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner. This was my second time coming here, so obviously I like it. The restaurant on site is where to go to get your breakfast (if you pay for it, kinda expensive for a slightly better than continental breakfast) and the staff there was AMAZING. Extremely polite and attentive. 5 stars to them. A couple small complaints. No refrigerator in the king size option room, seems like a strange thing to be lacking especially in such a large room with plenty of space. I had to bring up my cooler, which wasn’t a huge deal but I was on the top floor (4th floor). Second complaint. During check in, the man at the counter was really nice, up until I signed all the paperwork and got my key cards. I had a simple question and he put up one finger, cutting me off, so he could answer the phone. I feel that since he was currently taking care of me, I should have been a priority over the phone call. When I did get to ask my question, regarding the breakfast voucher, he seemed impatient with me. So overall not super impressed with the front desk staff. 3 stars for them. Like I said, complaints are minor but it would not affect me coming back again in the future.
