Generally a good hotel. Great to
have secure parking near by. Excellent breakfast which we enjoyed outside in the pretty courtyard garden. Only disadvantage was that our room was on the third floor and there was no lift. Madam, however, insisted on carrying our bags up, which went well beyond what we expected!

The Hotel du Pont Vieux is a lovely hotel and excellent value when staying in Carcassonne. Just below the Cite with fabulous views from the small roof terrace. Buffet breakfast was good quality and varied to suit most tastes. Several good quality local restaurants and cafes. Catherine and Jean-Michel, the hosts, were extremely friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area.
