Hotel Farnese is a charming hotel in an older, converted building. It is not a modern wonder of technology, glass & chrome; it is a quiet reminder of a slower, gentler pace, where you can relax, take your time and enjoy your stay. Our room boasted a firm, very comfortable king size bed with Art Deco style sconces flanking the bed. A flat screen tv was well-situated for viewing from bed. An adjacent sitting room was a perfect spot to relax & read, or sort out the souvenirs purchased earlier in the day. The bathroom was spacious & lovely, with a tub & shower combo; the toilet & bidet were tucked off in their own alcove. There was a healthy pothos plant in the bathroom as well, adding a nice bit of greenery to the room. The entire suite was comfortable with an understated elegance; the perfect place to stay while in Rome. The breakfast buffet on the top floor was an unexpected treat; it included a variety of croissants and other pastries, kept soft, warm and fresh in a stainless lidded buffet pan. Scrambled eggs, thin slices of ham, cold sliced meats & cheeses were also on offer. Cold cereals, fresh juices, yogurt and cappuccino rounded out the daily service. The ladies tending the buffet and serving coffees & cappucinos were lovely, especially the woman with purple highlights in her hair. She was so welcoming and kind. The front desk staff were helpful & accommodating, storing our luggage with on arrival and departure, before check-in & after check-out. We had a memorable stay.

Beautiful boutique style hotel! Staff was amazing and the breakfast on the roof garden looking at Vatican City was unbelievable!

Clean room, extremely helpful and courteous staff, and location in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of most major sights. We would stay there again.
