The staff at reception were very helpful and efficient.
Breakfat not too bad with a reasonable choice of foods.
The free water on arrival is a nice touch.
The rooms are spacous enough with generous storage.

The property is not properly finished. Although the staff were very helpful & bedrooms were good, it wasn't within walking distance of any restaurants as the surrounding area is undeveloped. However, there were buses into the centre about 7 or 8 minutes walk.

We're on a family trip through southern Italy and have visited several cities, including Matera. A beautiful city, steeped in history. In that context, choosing the Hotel Nazionale was a great decision. Close to the historic center, easily accessible, a modern hotel, and very well maintained.
