Clean and comfy. We stayed in a family room. Some discrepancies between what we booked on Expedia and what was sent through to the hotel, but was sorted by email and phone call in advance. Warm welcome and THE most amazing dairy free, gluten free complimentary brownies I've ever tasted. The room was lovely and just what we needed for a one night stop to break up a longer journey. Only slight issue was the noise from something the other side of the bedroom wall (some sort of low level generator/machine) but ear plugs helped at night. Possibly only an issue for light sleepers guests who are noise sensitive. Staff were very dog friendly but there is nowhere to walk the dog off-road and no poop bag bins.
We didn't eat at the hotel but if the brownies are anything to go by I imagine it is lovely. Nice place to stay.

A wonderful place to stay. Large room, exceptional staff, wonderful hospitality. Just a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The icing on the cake is the food. Absolutely divine. An unforgettable experience.

I stayed here for only one night but wished I'd stayed longer, I was a very nice experience indeed, from the moment I checked in I was treated exceptionally well by Ariane who made the arrival experience easy.
The room was clean & quiet with the ensuite bathroom fully stocked & efficient.
The breakfast (optional for a fee) was gourmet quality actually cooked by the co proprietor Jamie who I learned was a top chef so not surprised, there were various options too so plenty to choose from.
The parking & outer spaces too were lovely & can't be praised higher.
The overall experience of Yalbury Cottage is 5 stars & if anyone has trepidation of booking a room here relax as you won't regret it.
Thank you Ariane & Jamie for looking after me so well and be assured I will be back when I get the chance although next time my stay will be much longer.
