Great place to stay. Superb location for seeing everything in sintra.

Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was a narrow, hallway-style shape. Our knees touched the wall in front of us when sitting on the toilet. The room was slightly humid (end of April stay). The wifi did not work for me, but did off and on for other guests. The hotel was hard to find because there is no number “23” to mark the address. We missed the small plaque posted at the beginning of a stone wall/fence down below the yellow building. You walk up a driveway to the building once you see the plaque. We had a very good sleep because the town of Sintra is very quiet in the evenings after the day-trip tourists leave. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night. No restaurants were open to serve dinner/food after 10 pm. Shops were closed evenings.

The hotel was very conveniently located close to the castles. It was a bit run down older property, but the room was spacious and the shower was hot with excellent water pressure. One thing though was the smell of artificial air freshener was overwhelming, but I assumed it was covering up another worse smell.
Staff were professional and courteous, and breakfast was perfectly adequate.
