Very rustic but the place is just so charming it’s hard to complain. The staff were wonderful and attentive. Has a ton of potential to be a really beautiful resort but enjoyed the rustic experience nonetheless. Is a 10 minute walk into El Tunco which we enjoyed, but if you want to be in town something to consider

The place is fine. It's conveniently located if you are driving. I would definitely say you might want to rent the car if you're staying here, if you plan on traveling anywhere further than El Tunco.
The hotel advertised a pool for every room, but neither of the pools in my two rooms was functional. The filtration systems were not working, leaving the pools cloudy and unusable. While the outdoor showers were acceptable, the pools were not. Additionally, the water supply was interrupted for a few hours one day, and the A/C in one room was not working. The rooms appeared old, but they provided me with another room, which was fine since the hotel is small with only five rooms. The staff, consisting of two or three people, were consistently nice, respectful, and quiet. The breakfast was generally good, though it was sometimes inconsistent with the menu. For example, items listed with meat were sometimes served without it, even when I ordered the same thing on multiple days.
