You cannot beat the location as it is right next to the cathedral. It is right in the middle of everything and we loved where it was. We ended up doing a self check-in, but the communication and directions from the staff were perfect and made it all very easy. The issues we had were that the refrigerator was not very cold at all, and there was soap in the shower from a previous guest. This location does not have air-conditioning but had two functioning fans. Unfortunately, the heat wave this August made you really want to have air-conditioning! I’m not sure you can call this a B&B as they did not serve us breakfast. The kind staff member gave us an unsatisfactory reason as to why they did not.

This B&B is fabulously located downtown although hills and walking are part of staying in Siena. Hosts are very helpful. It is possible to call a cab early morning although we asked our hosts to call for us. It may be possible at other times although the path is very crowded. Otherwise it is about a 15min walk to the bus station and 30min walk to the train station using the free multi-tier escalator. The accommodations are eclectic but not so much considering the age of the building. We enjoyed our stay here.
