Be prepared for the dress code standard at this property, collared shirts required at the bar and restaurant no hats in the lobby. you must be well-dressed to lounge in the lobby although it is permissible to traverse the the lobby in street clothes provided you don't work there the rooms are made available to guest but are owned by the Missouri athletic club and it has Country club type rules it's an excellent place to stay but be prepared for this before booking.

Having an incredible gym in the middle of the hotel is awesome. The lobby is magnificent as well. I will 100% stay here again.

Lobby and common areas were very nice walnut stained wood. Room was in bad shape with stained carpet, broken blinds, peeling paint on ceiling, cracked plaster on walls, and a bathtub that needed work. The toilet leaked from underneath unto the bathroom floor . I would give the main facility a 9, and the room a 3,

They do NOT play about men wearing hats. Not even in the lobby or checking-in. It's cool that they are trying to preserve old school values. It ssuch a thing of the past I was shocked. The hotel is beautiful and the wood work is amazing. As a cigar smoker I love that you can smoke a cigar at the bar.
