The hotel construction started in 1907, and opened in 1908, so there is a lot of history behind the building. I liked the architecture of the hotel. My fiancé's sister was with us to take a look at the room. She is 82 and in a wheelchair, but there were ADA accommodations for her. She did not stay with us in the room. Some complained the rooms were musty, but I didn't experience that. I only stayed for one night and I would stay there again.

The Hotel was a bit dated but it is an over 100 year old property. It is really nostalgic and in good shape for a hotel that age. The rooms are very nice and well done. This hotel is definitely worth a try.

We loved the history displayed in the hotel. The room was nice and large. The bed was very comfortable.
The only drawback had nothing to do with the hotel. As my husband was going to our car that morning, 2 guys tried to hustle/scare/intimidate him. Be very aware of the outside surroundings.

This place was absolutely amazing. I loved the story behind this hotel. If anyone goes to Alexandria this is a must stay to read everything about it.
