If we could give Villa Manning more than 5 stars we would. Everything about this place was exceptional. Located just a 7 min walk from the main town square, Villa Manning is perched above the hustle of the city and is a magical retreat that makes you feel like you’re staying in your castle. Our room was modern but had touches of antiques and history. The property is beautifully maintained, with a garden, pool, lemon trees, lounges and swings to relax and enjoy a quiet area above the city with a swim or a cocktail. Maria who made the breakfast every morning went out of her way to make sure we had all the food we needed including lactose free options for our daughter. And we can’t say enough about the lovely Valentina who managed the propriety and was there during the day for anything we needed. She was so kind and insightful and gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat.

Amazing stay!! Highly recommend!
My family came with us and occupied all 7 rooms. There was a bathroom in each and several half baths - perfect for a large group. Domiano was amazing! So helpful from the beginning! He speaks wonderful English and has a bunch of recommendations and help if you need anything. The pool was not heated, that was our only complaint:p the outside is beautiful with a patio area with lots of chairs and tables. It also has two upper balconies. It can get quite windy because the villa is up at the top of the hill, so sometimes you need to remove the cushions. Parking is street parking, which can be quite tricky, or you can pay €10 per day to have private parking through the villa owner. There is a little store at the bottom of the hill which has waters, wine, pastries, etc. There’s also a pizza place that’s walkable:) Overall love experience and highly recommend!!

The Villa Manning is very charming and unique. It is a historic old Villa that has been slowly updated. Not of it is completed. I had no idea before we got there that is was an older villa, but I did appreciate that. The concerige from the beginning was very helpful. She walked us around and explained everything in detail. She even made us a aperol spritz at the pool. So good!
The room we had was rather large and the bathroom was excellent. The breakfast was charming and good. Simple, but sweet how they had someone there to prepare and serve you the food and coffee. The location is perfect. Not right in the main center but close enough and you can walk easy to the train or to the bus. The only thing I was expecting was the pool to be wider and cleaner, but we still enjoyed it. The grounds have SO much potential. It is magical but it needs A LOT of work and maintanence because it was overgrown. If they just kept up with weeding and pruning this it would be spot on. Because they haven't there were some criters and insects even on the balcomy.

Once you get over the fact that this is not your typical hotel, you start appreciating the subtle luxury that is Villa Manning Relais. Located a minute walk from the centre of Sorrento, Villa Manning offers a quiet and lush garden with a small pool and plenty of space to sit and relax. Need anything? Just let the team know via WhatsApp, and they bring it to you within a few minutes. Oh, and let’s not forget breakfast. With 2 pax in our party with celiac disease, Rossana made sure they had tasty and healthy options every morning - even a gluten free cake for my son for his birthday (at no extra cost!). If you are looking for a standard hotel, Villa Manning is probably not for you. But, if you are looking for a unique experience in Sorrento I highly recommend you give it a try.
