Staff for check in and cleaning were very nice and had great service. Free tuk tuk rides to places closeby. Communication over text and email was a little slow though. Room, pool, sauna, gym and changerooms were very clean but the steam room was under maintenance. Not sure why the pool lights turned off at 9:30 pm but closed at 10pm.

The Amata Residence is a great place to stay in Phenom Penh, but not a tourist destination in and of itself. Rooms are like a small efficiency apartment with basic kitchen facilities and everything you need to stay for a few days or months. There was nothing to see out the windows except another building. Having said that, there were lots of interesting places nearby and the market was a fascination in and of itself. I walked to the Neakvoan Pagoda, which was beautiful and fascinating.
Overall, the room was comfortable, staff were helpful and the location is fine. My weekend stay there was great and I’d happily stay at the Amata Residence again.
