Absolutely loved this place and would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel close to nature while staying in La Fortuna. Our bungalow was spacious and cute and we could hear the amazing sounds of the cicadas, frogs, and occasional howler monkeys throughout the night and birds in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurant was very good (highly recommend the Patacones). We booked a night hike at reception (it’s much cheaper than online options) and our guide, David, was so knowledgeable and was very skilled at spotting a huge variety of animals. The butterfly garden was also quite beautiful. If you want TV, AC and pavement this is not the place for you. But, if you want to be very comfortable and feel immersed in nature, I would highly recommend Arenal Oasis.

Arenal Oasis was one of our favourite stays in Costa Rica. The staff, property, trails, butterfly dome, on-site restaurant and cottage we stayed in were all top-notch. We spotted some of our first jungle wildlife just wandering about on the property and really enjoyed staying in a location surrounded by a jungle environment. Breakfast each morning in the open-air restaurant was great. The eco-lodge is on a quieter road but is very close to the more lively strip in LaFortuna where there are many choices for great food. We highly recommend this stay and would come again.

The butterfly garden was an experience I will remember for my whole life. This is a beautiful property, rooms are rustic but clean and comfortable, would definitely visit again.
