The hotel is very nice, loved that I could walk out of the hotel and just a few steps away was the Canyon!

Overall, wonderful lodge. Relaxing. Rim trail couldn’t be closer, just a few steps away. Restaurant and tavern are delightful. Canyon view rooms are limited; select yours carefully (and there’s no microwave oven on the premises sans the restaurant’s ). Bottom line - always El Tovar when visiting the South Rim.
