Bombora Medewi

The staff were exceptional and made my family feel attended to and very welcomed. The location was superb and we lived being at Bombora Medewi. Great breakfast and fabulous espresso coffee.

Excellent hotel right on the surf break. The staff are outstanding. Especially Dode and Hasti at the front desk and Nopi in the restaurant. THANK YOU SO MUCH. There are others but we didn’t get all of the names. They really all go out of their way to make your stay perfect. They even have a car and driver available to take you to dinner or errands close by. This was amazing and super helpful. We used the car 3 times - for pharmacy, atm, a nearby restaurant. Free! The rooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable. With a minibar, fridge and hot and cold water dispenser in your room. You could see the surf from our balcony. The food was excellent. Breakfast was included with our room and you got to choose from a huge menu. There were at least 20 choices for breakfast. So great. Medewi is out of the crowds and if you surf, this is the perfect place to stay. Medewi is away from the dense crowds South and if you surf, this is the perfect place to stay. The front desk connected me with their local surf guide who was fantastic and helped figure out the break, find a quality rental board and all things about the surf scene. I recommend booking this in advance if you’re interested. It’s very affordable. Excellent board storage at your room and by the pool for longer boards. Just a great vibe overall. Every time we were downstairs by the restaurant and bar watching the waves you’d end up having a conversation with a fellow traveler. One of the best wavelodges I’ve been to!! Don’t miss out on it.

It’s right at the surf so the rooms are not totally sealed and a bit musty smell when you first enter but not terrible. The mosque nearby 😭 LOUD at 5am for a long time. Not the hotels fault but really not great to be woken like that.

The location is amazing. Great view of Medewi surf spot. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and fixed any problem we had very quickly.

There are just a few things that could do with an upgrade, like the bins and towel bin to smarten it up a little.

The room was good and the staff were friendly

The pool and restaurant area felt compact with no easy view of the surf break from the restaurant. There was a surf competition on, which we were not made aware of when booking. The resort was therefore overcrowded with limited poolside space. Access to the surf break was also impacted.
