Here’s a polished review that keeps your “great for a budget hotel” point front and center:
We stayed at ibis budget Saint-Maurice for a week while sightseeing in Paris, and for a budget hotel, it was excellent. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the train station on a quiet street. The walk does include a large set of stairs up the hillside, which is worth noting, but we still found it very manageable.
The staff were pleasant, and our room was tidied daily, which we appreciated after long days of sightseeing. The location worked well for us—we were typically about 45 minutes total from hotel to destination for most of the major Paris sites.
Since we were spending a full week exploring Paris, we wanted to save on lodging, and this hotel fit that need well. The area also felt safe; we never had concerns walking to and from the station. We were often walking alongside professionals commuting to work and passing families and children at the nearby park, which added to the comfortable, neighborhood feel.

Very nice and convenient hotel for the price. Calm neighborhood with amenities nearby (bakery, laundry, restaurants).
