Elvira and Katerina were one of the highlights, just after the beautiful surroundings and installations.
We reached the hotel by rental car from Porto, 1 hour and 40 minutes. The hotel is on top of a hill full of vineyards, and what a beautiful view of the river the hotel has.
In the morning breakfast is served beautifully. You can buy wine from the Quinta by glass or bottle, good quality.
The hotel has no restaurant so you have to go to town for lunch and dinner.
Room was immaculate, although I should mention that the toilet has no door, so privacy there is none.
There is a non acclimated pool, too cold when I went. Had a wonderful massage.
I would love to go back someday, especially around August or September when the grapes are ripe and the weather is a little warmer. One of my favorites for sure.

We loved our stay here. The views are spectacular from all areas of the property. The road up to the b&b is tricky to drive but you are rewarded when you get there so it's totally worth it! We loved the pool, quite chilly but we stayed in August when the weather called for a nice chill dip. Sitting at the edge of that pool looking out over the valley was breathtaking. There is a lovely communal balcony area to relax in the evening, or enjoy breakfast on. We liked that there were not many people there, only around 5 rooms so quite quiet, and the staff go home at night. Breakfast was simple but fine for what we wanted., and you can bring your own food to keep in the fridge in the communal areas, where there is a fully stocked kitchen and lounge to relax in. We felt welcomed and there was always wine and port to try made by the vineyard on the estate which is fab! The room was perfect, great air con, ours was very private (we had read that some rooms have an open toilet which we did see in the other rooms on the top floor so maybe if this isn't something you would like, request one on the lower floor). Th bed was comfy, felt very luxurious with branded pillows and towels, and a balcony to look out from. I would have liked a chair or two outside ideally to make the most of the balcony and to dry towels and things. It was honestly wonderful and I would absolutely stay again!
