Enjoyable Stay

Large room with fridge freezer, crockery and cutlery. Comfortable bed. Excellent aircon; 36° outside but my room was cool. Bathroom small but fine, toiletries provided. Plenty of towels. A communal balcony overlooking the street a shady place to sit. There's a shop in reception selling a good variety of basics, and free water provided 24/7 Vanny and his family friendly and helpful. Good position near Russian Market, easy to get around.

Poor

The location was good, just nearby the Russian Market. The daughters of the owner are luckily not like him and very kindly they welcomed us.

We had a room with fan and we already had two weeks traveling around Cambodia with similar room type. Our room in this case didn’t have a window towards the outside of the building and the fan was very weak and positioned on the wall opposite side from the bed. The result is that the first night we almost couldn’t sleep because of the heat in the room so we asked to the owner if he could give us an extra fan, and his answer was “yes but it costs 2 dollars per night”. This is the first bad experience in Cambodia with a guesthouse manager which is totally careless of the well being of the guests but only focused on money.

Peaceful Guesthouse indeed

Great staff, atmosphere, price, quiet at night. They also have a shop at the ground floor, you can purchase daily commodities with more reasonable prices than convenience stores. Wifi was stable enough for online meetings.

Very hospitable hosts

So, after a week in Pattaya, these hosts' welcome felt like home coz they really show that they are glad to see you. Overall is fine. Everything is very near and I couldnt wish for more.

I liked everything. We booked shared bathroom but they gave us room with private bathroom. Owner very accommodating, location very good, near to all. Very comfy but not so expensive. We will definitely come back again.

The room was good, towels, water, toothbrush, a good fan, aircon for an extra 4$ per night if you wish. The owners were so kind and so helpful!! I would really recommend to go to this guesthouse in Phnom Penh! Close to the city, but far enough for it to be quiet at night time.

The homestay was very comfortable. The family is very kind and helpful and make you feel welcome. Also, they provide free fresh water where you can refill your bottles as many times as you want. Definitely recommend!

Location and friendly staff

Access is a spiral staircase not easy with luggage and the room had no window to outside, the first in 3 months of travelling in SE Asia

I like the space in the room, they have a table and a fridge and a wardrobe. Also everything was very clean

the scooters for rent wer broken so we had to go far. you must pay extra to use de air cont.

The hosts we helpful, approachable and friendly

The air con was $4 extra per night, despite air con being listed in the facilities. The building was uncomfortably hot and stuffy with minimal ventilation in the room, after a few sweaty nights not sleeping in the heat we caved in and paid up, making a cheap option a little less affordable than it should have been. The bathrooms were not clean. Some places, such as the little shelf above the sink, were thick with soap scum, dust and dead insects, suggesting they had not seen a proper cleaning in a loooong time. There was only one towel provided in the room.

Vanny and his family were fantastic hosts! Great location and room for the price.

Room was hot! Fan could be upgraded or ventilation in the room somehow improved. Minor as everything else was fantastic for the price!

Perfect stay!

We booked this property about 1 hours before arriving and Vanny and his wife already had the room ready and were awaiting our arrival. Vanny and his wife are amazing, very welcoming, hospitable and helpful. The rooms are great although can get quite hot but there are fans. The bathrooms are well equipped. Also there is a small kitchenette. Location is great for cafes, food and Russian Market.

Smelly stuffy rooms

The staff were lovely.

Rooms have no windows and there was a horrible smell in our room like bins or sewage the whole time. Very stuffy and incredibly hot. Building work began at 7am and continued all day, barely slept for 3 nights. Bad location, have to get a taxi to the main part of town every time as it's not walking distance.

Perfect value for money

The apartement is a very good value for money. The neighborhood is full with restaurants, cafés and street food. Russian market is in walking distance. For the night market and royal palace you have to take tuktuk. The owners are really nice and they have a small shop downstairs. For this price in the city center was perfect. You can use water kettle, toast maker and mugs, plates from kitchen. The washing machine didn't worked while we were there.

They should improve cleanliness a little bit. The common areas was not so clean and bathroom would need improvement. Smell is coming from the toilet and leaks water.

It will be hard to find a better place for the amount of money and I felt at home the moment I entered

The owner, his wife and his daughters were really friendly and accommodating. The guesthouse is good value for money. I highly recommend this place. I enjoyed it so much that I booked a few extre days!!

The stairs are a bit steep. But no problem at all for this 70 year old!

Very nice and friendly family. Clean room, fan works, calm street and nice neighborhood (looks like there are a lot of expats around). Very good ratio price/accomodation
