Offering the best slopeside ski-in, ski-out lodging at Saddleback Maine, Bluebird Day is a newly constructed 3 bedroom, 2 bath freestanding A-Frame in the highly desirable Parmachenee Village. Located trail side on the Smelt Streamer ski trail you can quickly get on the lifts each morning for early access to some of the best terrain in the east and easily get back to the A-Frame for lunch and breaks.
The main floor offers a high-ceiling open concept layout with fantastic mountain views out the front and side windows. A well-appointed kitchen is highlighted by a custom flame yellow birch live edge countertop adorning the central island bar. You can relax after the ski day on the large sectional couch in front of the gas fireplace and flat-screen TV. Radiant floor heating warms the entire space efficiently providing a comfortable environment inside even on the very coldest of days outside. A solo stove and firewood is available for slopeside Après-ski as well.
With Bluebird Day located just below the Saddleback Base Lodge, you can easily walk, ski, or bike back to the home after enjoying a meal or drinks at Saddleback Pub. For those looking for world-class Nordic skiing and snowshoeing opportunities, the Rangeley Lakes Trail Center hub is only 2 miles down the access road, and the southern trails are accessible directly from Bluebird Day's front door. The place was great! Very thoughtfully supplied, lots of cooking equipment, extra blankets and even a humidifier! The only thing that I would suggest is that they provide bigger towels for the bathrooms!
