The history of the building was fascinating and it is a beautiful setting. The staff were all extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Restaurant/bar not open in the evening and no tv in the bedroom.

Very quiet. Handy location for university. Atmospheric historic building and beautiful setting. Very good breakfast. Wonderful staff.
We visited on one of the coldest nights in January. Our room hadn’t been prepared or heated so we were given a larger room in the oldest part of the castle. This room also took a while to heat up. The bathroom was very cold. The decor was partially finished (bare wood door frame) and a bit sparse.
