The location of this property is excellent - you are 2 minutes from the port and aquarium, right at the heart of the old part of the city and basically walk out on a charming pedestrian piazza. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Metro is right there. The apartment is spacious, if a bit dated and has very fast internet, just as advertised. You also have a smart TV at your disposal and a full kitchen.
There is no air conditioning, which can be a problem if you are staying in summer or in the beginning of autumn like us. The ventilators provided are simply not up for the job of cooling the house down when it is really hot. They do help you to sleep, if you keep them running and aimed at the bed during the night. The location, while very central and convenient, is quite noisy when you have windows open, which you have to do to get any air. The narrow alleyways around the building are quite smelly and seem to double as public toilets, so be aware.

La posizione dell’appartamento è ideale per visitare la città. Appartamento ben rifinito e pulito.
La palazzina non è il massimo, andrebbe ristrutturata. Assenza del climatizzatore.

Eccellente la posizione, quasi si affaccia sul porto, e quest'ultimo, le sue attrazioni e il centro di Genova sono visitabili a piedi. Zona storica, palazzi secolari come quello in cui si trova l'appartamento, che è abbastanza ampio, comodo e luminoso. Non perfetto in alcuni particolari, ma è ristrutturato, con un certo stile personale che lo fa essere accogliente e "caldo".
Il contesto e l'appartamento hanno reso il mio soggiorno piacevolmente autentico, e mi hanno fatto vivere la città in una maniera più "immersiva".

The host was flexible with the check in and check out times ruched we really appreciated.
They were also very responsive
The appartment building is pretty awful, the appartment was better.. Spacious but sparse and basic furnishings. Bathroom too was very old fashioned and needs a good freshening up.
The lack of a tea towel, a bathmat and a dish cloth is beyond me.... Surely this would be in the interest of the host to provide these and enable proper care of the appartment???.
