Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par José, qui parle parfaitement le français, pour notre séjour de 2 nuits. Les chambres sont très agréables et les repas pris sur place (diner et petit déjeuner) sont très bons et préparés avec des produits locaux. La vue sur le volcan depuis l’hébergement est superbe. José s’est également occupé de l’organisation des excursions. Nous recommandons vivement de séjourner à la Casa Scora !

I absolutely loved my stay at Casa Scora. It is a small, very cozy place that feels completely new. Located just 5–6 minutes from the village, it offers a peaceful and secluded atmosphere, while being right by the trail leading up to the volcano, with breathtaking views.
The rooms have everything you need, and there is a small bar on-site offering local drinks — wine, grog, beer, juices, and water — at very reasonable, almost shop-level prices. Breakfast is simple but fresh and heartfelt: bread, butter, local farm cheese, fruits, and omelets available on request. Early in the morning, the table is already set, and you can enjoy a hot coffee or tea.
I was welcomed by the owner’s brother, Zeze — and that was a real stroke of luck. Not only is he a warm and hospitable host, but also an outstanding volcano guide: experienced, attentive, caring, and a truly engaging storyteller. As a local, he knows the history of the village and the volcano in depth, shares fascinating insights about the area and its plants, and adjusts the hike to your pace and abilities.
He also helped me solve an issue with my return ticket, which I deeply appreciated.
A special thank you to his dog Strada, who accompanied us during the hike — a true star!
This journey was truly unforgettable. I left Fogo and Casa Scora with tears in my eyes.

Tem uma vista magnifica para o vulcão, o quarto é bem bonito e confortavel.
Tivemos que pagar em dinheiro porque não tinham como descontar no cartão, por ser uma pequena cidade a maior parte dos lugares tem que se pagar em dinheiro.
