Situated in a rural area, this welcoming cottage brings all of Melrose within your reach. With convenient onsite parking, you'll be ready to make the 5-minute drive to Melrose Abbey or the 8-minute drive to Abbotsford The Home Of Sir Walter Scott.

Our cottage and everything about the Borders charmed us. Douglas was very helpful and gave us excellent advice on restaurants and attractions like Melrose Abbey, Abbortford House, and of course, the many walking paths. My childhood friend and I had a beautiful vacation. I wish we had had more time to spend there.

Nice rural location. Pleasant walk of about an hour into Melrose via Leaderfoot bridge and sight of Trimontium. The cottage was cold when we arrived. We used the electric heaters provided but they weren’t quite up to the job. Cottage could have been a bit cleaner. Good parking and WiFi.
